Who's Behind It
Before founding 717 Design, I spent ten years studying and working in marketing. When I moved to the United States, I tried to apply everything I knew but I found a different market, a language I barely spoke, and a system I had to learn from scratch.
Along the way, I worked with different collaborators. One of them delivered a poorly built website to one of my clients. Rather than leave it that way, I decided to fix it myself. It was the first time I designed a website and that's when I realized I could do it, that I loved it, and that I could combine it with everything I already knew about marketing.
Shortly after, I designed a website for a friend. She loved it. And without planning to, I started taking on more projects.
I kept studying accounting, marketing strategy, web design to sustain this new path. I practiced by building sites for different types of businesses, until, a year later, I realized that first website I fixed was the beginning of all of this.
717 Design was born from that experience: wanting to do things right, even when it wasn't my job to do so. Today, that same care is the foundation of every website we build.
